2. What We Do Not Collect

To be absolutely clear about our core product promise:

• We do not store, log, or transmit anything you type in the notepad.
• We do not read your notes.
• We do not use your note content for any purpose, including AI training or analytics.
• Your notes exist only in your browser's memory and are permanently destroyed when the auto-clear fires or you close the tab.

3. What We Do Collect

When you create an account or use No-Note Notebook, we collect the following:

• Email address — used to create and manage your account.
• Password — stored securely as a hashed value. We never see your plain-text password.
• Payment information — processed entirely by Paddle (our payment provider). We do not store your credit card number or payment details. We only receive confirmation that a payment was made and your subscription status.
• General location (country/region) — collected at an aggregate level for analytics purposes. We do not collect your precise GPS location.
• App usage data — anonymous data about which features are used and how often, to help us improve the product. This is not linked to your identity.
• Abbreviation dictionary — if you are a free user, your abbreviations are stored in your browser's local storage only. If you are a premium user, your abbreviations are stored in our database so they sync across sessions.

4. How We Use Your Data

• To create and manage your account.
• To verify your subscription status and unlock the features you have paid for.
• To send you account-related emails (confirmations, password resets, billing receipts).
• To understand how the app is used at an aggregate level so we can improve it.
• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• We do not use your data for advertising.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate No-Note Notebook:

• Supabase — our backend database and authentication provider. Your account data is stored on Supabase's servers. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• Paddle — our payment processor. Paddle acts as the merchant of record and handles all payment data. See Paddle's Privacy Policy.
• Netlify — our hosting provider. See Netlify's Privacy Policy.

6. Data Retention

• Your account data is retained for as long as your account exists.
• If you delete your account, your email, password, and premium abbreviations are permanently deleted within 30 days.
• Note content is never stored — there is nothing to retain or delete.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
• Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.

8. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication (keeping you logged in). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Children

No-Note Notebook is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you by email.
